Tackling data integration for connected cars & smart cities! 🧠🏎️

Role overview

We're looking for an enthusiastic Senior Front-End developer skilled with modern front-end frameworks like Vue . We are a deeply technical team and seeking to further build out our core before scaling up beyond current customers.

We love people who are excited to join our mission to get the world's systems 🌍 talking to each other 💬 by raising the global data quality quotient, using a data transformation platform.

What’s our engineering development challenge?

Companies have a wealth of data trapped behind legacy APIs. These often have overly complex, inconsistent, or hard to parse data structures, which need to be queried using outdated standards. It’s our job to fix that – data transformation is key.

While our team is split between San Francisco and Berlin, you will be part of the team in Berlin! Our solution is currently used by companies in the automotive and manufacturing space, but that is just the beginning.

What you’ll do

▪ Develop, co-design and deploy interactive, dynamic UX solutions

▪ Take the lead on key frontend engineering tasks around our core platform alongside

▪ Help make our platform a scalable enterprise software and open source components of it

▪ Mentor developers and designers on the team

Who you are

▪ Passion for beauty and simplicity

▪ Enthusiastic about modern frontend technologies like VueJS, ES6, CSS3/SASS

▪ Experience working with APIs and various data stores

▪ Write secure, tested and maintainable code

▪ Proactivity, proficient English, experience in agile teams, an open mind, attention to detail and quality

▪ Bonus: Expertise in Ruby on Rails and further JS technologies like NodeJS, React, jQuery

Location

Berlin is the capital and the largest city in Germany and well-known for its amazing festivals, exciting nightlife and a high quality of living. With a population of 3.7 million it is only second to London in the Europe Union, even with one-third of the city's area being composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers, canals and lakes. Berlin is a city with a deep history, Bismarck, Marx, Einstein, JFK and Bowie, they’ve all shaped – and been shaped by – Berlin.

Often referred to as Europe's newest start-up capital, a new start-up is founded every 20 minutes. The startup industry is set to produce 100,000 new jobs by 2020.

It's no secret that Berlin is cheaper than many of its European counterparts. Office overheads and the price of living are cheaper, which makes it a very attractive place for tech entrepreneurs. Home to HelloFresh, Delivery Hero, and Soundcloud we expect many more household names to be coming out of Berlin in the next few years.
