Senior Javascript UI Developer

Lab 1’s purpose is to organize the world’s compromised data to help businesses to make better decisions. 

We deliver compromised data intelligence, reports, and ratings on any company within any supply chain. Our unique insights enable customers to understand and manage risks from exposed and compromised data throughout their supply chain.

We are hiring a frontend engineer to take ownership of the user interface of our current and upcoming products. We are a remote first company that regularly meets live when necessary, but you need to be UK based. You will work closely with founders and software engineers in a small, friendly, geographically distributed team.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, pragmatic team player and solid software engineer, skilled in React, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, and other frontend technologies. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build user interfaces from the ground up and to operate autonomously on the product.

We are a small team (5-6 people in the company in total), so the ability and willingness to also contribute to the API, infrastructure, data pipeline (tens of billions of datapoints), and machine learning components where necessary is also highly desirable. Skills such as SQL, terraform, F#, Python etc. are all advantageous but not essential.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing company really early on and make a significant contribution to the product. The role will be remunerated through a salary and, after a qualifying period, you will be granted a meaningful share in the company through an options grant.

Must:

• 3+ years commercial JavaScript experience.
• Demonstrable experience building products from the ground up, ideally in a startup.
• Strong user interface engineering skills.
• Flexible, pragmatic, comfortable with ambiguity
• React

• Have a degree (ideally Computer Science or similar) or can demonstrate equivalent experience and skill.
