Who we're looking for 

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Javascript Engineer to join the Bloom team. You will have a hand in developing many of our initial launch products; your designs will become part of our early DNA.

You are super passionate about design and development as well as the actual user experience and journey.

Relentlessly improve the quality of the software. Drive design and implementation with availability, testability, and low operational cost while continuously iterating on the development process to support new functionality and business expansion.

Responsibilities

·         Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Javascript code

·         Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications

·         Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems

·         Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Skills

·         Profound understanding of Javascript, both with it's most popular frameworks and as a standalone language.

·         Git / Github / Git flow

·         Solid understanding of REST

·         Familiarity with other Javascript frameworks, e.g. React, Angular, Node etc.

·         AWS (ECS, EC2, Lambda, Secrets Manager, etc.)

·         Experience with scaled applications

·         DevOps (understanding production deployment, continuous integration, etc.)

·         Practical and security-oriented approach

Nice to have

·         Other back-end languages and frameworks, e.g. Python, Ruby, Node, etc.

·         Ability to write concise and effective tests

·         Gems published / Open Source involvement
