Job Description

Role Overview

As a Product Designer at Backpack Crypto Exchange, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform. You will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance the trading experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and marketers to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Key Functions:

• User-Centered Design: Conduct user research and translate insights into user personas, journey maps, and wireframes.
• UI/UX Design: Create visually appealing and functional designs for web and mobile platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes to test and validate design concepts with users and stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and implementation fidelity.
• Design Systems: Maintain and evolve the Backpack design system to ensure consistency across all products and touchpoints.
• Usability Testing: Conduct usability tests and iterate on designs based on feedback and data-driven insights.
• Market Trends: Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies in the crypto and fintech space.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile design projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• UX/UI Expertise: Strong understanding of UX principles, UI patterns, and responsive design.
• Research Skills: Ability to conduct user research and usability testing.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
• Team Player: Experience working in agile teams and collaborating with product managers and engineers.

Preferred:

• Exchange work: You've previously worked at a crypto exchange.
• Branding Experience: Experience in developing and maintaining a brand's visual identity.
